Ask why a food processor lives in the cupboard and the answer is rarely the price or the performance. It is that getting the thing together means lining up a bowl, twisting it against a lug, seating a lid and twisting again — and if any of it is a degree out, the safety interlock refuses and nothing happens. The Stack & Snap was a full-size processor designed around deleting that step, which is why it held a place in our ranking for as long as it was sold.

What Stack & Snap did

Hamilton Beach’s listed design point was exactly what the name said: the bowl stacked straight down onto the base and the lid snapped shut, with no twisting or locking rotation. In use that turned a fiddly two-handed alignment into a drop and a click. The bowl was 12 cups and sealed, the feed chute took a whole potato, and the box held a reversible slicing/shredding disc and a chopping blade. Hamilton Beach published a 450-watt motor rating for the 70725AG.

None of that is a reason to buy one now. Refurbished stock is a single batch with no restock behind it, and a processor is a machine you buy once and keep for years — a line with no parts pipeline is the wrong place to start.
